Tuesday, April 24th, Bedford Junior High English teacher Julia Schulz took her students to listen to author Kwame Alexander speak at the Arlington Public Library. The students had read his novel, The Crossover, in the fall and loved it! The novel is written in verse and tells the story of twin brothers who play basketball. Alexander and his team are on a book tour traveling to 24 cities in 35 days—promoting the prequel to The Crossover--Rebound. The students were able to interact with Alexander—asking him questions, getting mementos signed, and a couple of them even won t-shirts. It was an experience of a lifetime!
