Mrs. Lorton's third graders at Harrison Lane Elementary were surprised with a POP quiz one Friday. Students had to pop the balloons to retrieve their questions. They then used practiced strategies to answer questions pertaining to a reading passage. After all balloons were popped and all questions answered, each table group popped the balloons that hung from the ceiling over their tables. Those balloons contained tickets for a final surprise!
