Donna Park Elementary hosted Passport to Reading night in the fall, with a great turn out of parents, grandparents, and children. Students rotated through seven rooms with different reading activities: sight word bingo, reader's theater, nonfiction scavenger hunt, fiction reading, writing letters, reading aloud, and a poetry room. Once students completed their passport, they chose a free book. Parents received handouts on tips for reading with their child at home.
