In March, HEB ISD staff met with a delegation of social workers from Kyrgyzstan. The district's Ellen Lobue presented to the visitors about policies and procedures used to protect students identified as at-risk.
The meeting was part of a week-long trip hosted by the Mid-Cities Pacesetters Rotary Club. In addition to visiting Fort Worth landmarks, the Kyrgyzstan delegation met with local non-profit organizations, government offices, and other experts to learn about successful protections and support for children in difficult situations.
