Science came alive for fifth graders at South Euless Elementary as they studied matter and its physical properties. Students performed a number of labs during the unit of study, including how to measure volume and mass accurately. One such lab required students to estimate the mass of an object, find the actual mass using a triple beam balance, and then calculate the difference between estimates and the actual mass. At South Euless, students are engaged in learning and excited about what will happen next in their science class!
