The LOTE (Languages Other Than English) Department at Harwood Junior High was awarded a $930.79 grant from the HEB Education Foundation. The grant was written by teachers Heather Cooley, Rhonda Reynaud, Nicole Stephens, and Melinda Vargas. Harwood will use the grant money to purchase 70 pairs of headsets with microphones. This will allow students to engage in more online, real world type activities to increase their abilities in the areas of listening and speaking. It will also help students prepare for their EOYA exams at the end of the year.
