The District held its annual Extra Mile Award reception March 31, where more than seventy campus and department employees were recognized in seven categories - Custodial, Child Nutrition, Maintenance, Secretary, Teacher Assistant, Technology Support, and Transportation.
Each year, members of the HEB ISD Board of Trustees read all the submitted nominations and select the Extra Mile Winners of the Year from each category. All campus and department Extra Mile winners are recognized at the event, followed by the surprise announcement of the final winner in each category.
